About the artist
A jazz band that's not afraid of a solid groove? Meet Dries’ Jazzband. This instrumental ensemble combines jazz with funk, soul, blues, and pop, offering much more than just quiet background music. The foundation consists of saxophone, drums, and bass, but within that compact setup, a lot happens. Dries’ Jazzband also has a remarkable history. The ensemble was formed after the musicians decided not to stay indoors following the 2016 attacks, but instead to take to the streets with their music. With a drum set on a pallet, they went to various public places to cheer people up. Before you know it, a whole circle forms around you, and suddenly you have a band. Since then, they have developed into a highly sought-after ensemble for weddings, receptions, anniversaries, birthdays, garden parties, and corporate events.
