About the artist
A great party is recognized by the moments when everyone sings along at the top of their lungs. Bart knows how to create those moments. With his enthusiasm, recognizable songs, and broad repertoire of Dutch sing-alongs and English classics, he fits a wide range of parties and events. Whether it's a birthday in a cozy home setting, a festival tent full of revelers, or an evening where the dance floor gets increasingly crowded, Bart tailors his performance to the audience and the atmosphere. His musical journey began in Emmen, where singing and football were his two great passions. Around the age of thirteen, he took singing lessons and soon performed on regional stages and in cafes. At seventeen, he moved to Almere, where he still resides. Over the years, he participated in various talent shows, including the Flevoland Song Festival, Idols, and X Factor. In 2024, he reached the semi-finals of Sing Your Song Flevoland. He also sang in various bands, mainly with English pop and light rock in the repertoire.
In addition to his performances, Bart releases his own music and covers. In 2006, his first cover CD, Rijk, was released. In September 2024, he released his version of En steeds weer huil je uit, which was played by various internet radio stations and was regularly heard on the request program of TV Oranje. In April 2025, his own single Ga jij maar stappen followed, with a music video shot in a cafe in Zaandam. A year later, a new version of De Wereldbol was released, featuring fresh accordion parts. This recording is also available on all streaming services and TV Oranje.
Bart performs throughout the Netherlands and regularly in Belgium, including in cafes, nursing homes, festival tents, private homes, and rented halls. He brings his own professional sound system and is happy to involve you in the music selection. After a booking, he asks for the desired songs and builds the setlist with them, supplemented by his own choices. His motto says it all: "Without an audience, there is no artist."
